Harvest Ale Nutfield Harvest Ale is our Octoberfest style fall seasonal. Amber in color, it is malty, clean, and crisp; brewed with a delicate selection of domestic and imported hops. In April of 1719, a small group of families left the port city of Derry, Ireland, and settled just a "barrel's roll" from our microbrewery in what was then know as the Nutfield Colony. In tribute to their pioneering spirit, we have dedicated ourselves to the art of brewing the freshest, full-bodied ales. Nutfield Ales are "fire-brewed" in a brick brew kettle and fermented in open vats just like they use to do in the Old Country. This traditional brewing takes a bit longer, but we're sure you'll agree it's worth it. Our master brewer has selected only the finest all-natural ingredients Mother Nature can provide. Each barrel is hand-crafted using choice hops, select malted barley, sparkling pure New Hampshire water, and our top fermenting specialty yeast. We use no pasteurization and make no compromises on freshness or flavor. Nutfield Harvest Ale is a complex malty brew. Hand crafted in small batches, harvest Ale appears as New Hampshire's foliage bursts into its autumn colors. But when the leaves disappear... so will Harvest Ale. Nutfield Harvest Ale was voted the best fall seasonal micro-brew in New England by the Yankee Brew News Tasting Panel*. Listed below are the comments by the four panelists' involved: A very English ale aroma with a
wonderful balance of bright hops and sweet caramel - it smells a bit like a lot of things,
but not a lot like any one of them; a gorgeous, freshly polished amber color; a delicious,
well-balanced blend of malty nuttiness and caramel sweetness with just the right touch of
hops; very fresh; is this an Alt Fest?
